PL's Mission Statement

At the PL company group, we are dedicated to helping students learn and find the joy in learning. We conduct classes that are hands-on an interactive. We encourage students to speak up in class and question when in doubt. Our group of tutors have been hand-picked by Mr. Peter Lim to assure high quality control.

Apart from teaching students, PL Enrichment LLP conducts teachers' seminars to help school teachers better educate their students in more intriguing ways.

Our 12-year History

PL (Promised Land) Education Centre was started, in 1994, by Peter S.P. Lim, B.Sc. (Hons), PGDE, who has taught Physics and Chemistry at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Singapore . He also has many years of JC teaching experience. Currently he is designing and manufacturing science teaching kits and project kits for schools. These kits are being marketed to Singapore secondary schools and NIE (National Institute of Education). PL Education Centre is registered with the Ministry of Education, Singapore since 1994. Mr Peter Lim is presently a teacher trainer as well - sharing his expertise with Physics teachers how to approach the teaching of Physics in more innovative ways with interesting hands on experiments. As an author of several revision texts and editor of a Physics textbook, he is keenly aware of the needs of students wanting to do well in their examinations. He is strongly supported by his wife, Mrs Lim Heah Beng Im, who holds an English Literature degree with honours. She too has many years of teaching experience. She was formerly with the training branch of the Ministry of Education (MOE) Singapore. Together they personally know and select PL group of committed and caring tutors. 

In January 2002, our second branch in Balmoral Plaza opened. At Balmoral
Plaza, we concentrate on smaller group tuition to provide more individual
attention to the students.

From Clementi MRT station, on the side opposite the town centre, take the Clementi Park Feeder Service bus directly to the estate. This bus is the Singapore Explorer Bus (a maroon coloured bus with a colourful top - you can't miss it!) with a small sign on the front windscreen that says 'Clementi Park'.
           
The pick up point is at the bottom of the escalator where there is a cemented waiting bay, marked with an ‘X’ on the attached simplified map.

The bus will arrive at the MRT station about 9 - 10 minutes after every half hour on the hour and does not wait for passengers. If you can be at the pick up point on the hour and half hour ( e.g. 2.00 / 2.30 pm), you'll be on time. The bus will come around at about after about 8 minutes (e.g. 2.08) pm. and will take to straight to Blk 137 Clementi Park Condo. The cost is a flat rate of $1.30  per trip. It is good to have the exact change.
